What is Login?

Login is the identity management system used by WVU and many WVU affiliates. It ensures that each person has a unique set of credentials to gain access to numerous University systems, including eCampus, Libraries, MyAccess, Portal, WVU+kc and WVU.Encrypted wireless, as well as a number of WVU Medicine systems.

Who can use Login?

  • Active WVU employees, students and admitted students
  • WVU Medicine employees should be included by the end of 2016 under an integration project that is currently in progress.
  • Visiting scholars and students
  • WVU Foundation staff
  • Continuing Professional Education (CPE) participants
  • Contractors working with WVU-affiliated individuals
  • Former students who ever registered for a course or graduated from WVU
  • Retirees
  • Residents of the WVU Public / Private housing

I am with WVU Medicine and was told to ‘claim’ my account and set my password. What do I need to do to complete this?

I recently changed my legal last name. How do I update my Login information?

If you are an employee of WVU or WVU Medicine please:

  1. Contact your Human Resources/Payroll department, providing legal documentation of your name change. They will process the change in their records, and this will flow to the Identity System.
  2. Contact the WVU Service Desk at 304-293-4444 x3 or send an email to itshelp@mailwvu.edu. For WVU Medicine, contact Customer Support at 304-598-HELP or helpdesk@wvumedicine.org with a request for your email and/or username to be changed.

If you are an admitted student or current student, please:

  1. Contact the Registrar’s office, providing legal documentation of your name change. They will process the change in their records, and this will flow to the Identity System.
  2. Contact the WVU Service Desk at 304-293-4444 x3 or email itshelp@mailwvu.edu with a request for your email and/or username to be changed.

For all others, please contact the WVU Service Desk at 304-293-4444 x3 or itshelp@mailwvu.edu with a request for your name, email and/or username to be changed.
