CS Gold and many related ID card functions will be offline March 10-14

Mountaineer Card-related services, including the MyMountaineerCard website, will be unavailable from 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 10 until 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14 while we do important work on the underlying system. You won’t be able to purchase or change meal plans, make Mountie Bounty deposits, or check balances until the work is finished. Door lock administrators won’t be able to make access changes during this window.

Office 365 and Portal may be briefly unavailable 6-7 a.m. Sunday, March 10

Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into the WVU Portal and Office 365 services, including Outlook email, Teams, Skype and OneDrive, from 6 to 7 a.m. Sunday, March 10.

Information Technology Services must make an important change during this time. Users who are already logged into these systems before the work begins won’t lose access, but new logins may be delayed until the work is complete.

WVU employees retiring after Feb. 18 will have access to new retiree email account

Any current, benefits-eligible WVU employee who retires on or after Monday, Feb. 18 will automatically receive access to a new email account with an suffix. This includes employees at the Health Sciences Center, and the Beckley and Keyser campuses. This change does not immediately affect past retirees or Emeritus retirees who have or accounts.

Students: You can now use Mountie Bounty at Student Health

WVU Student Health now accepts Mountie Bounty as payment for insurance copayments, WVU Medicine balances and other health care services you don’t want billed to insurance. 

Mountie Bounty is a convenient, pre-paid debit-card function of your ID card, with no setup fees or minimum balances required. Just load money on your card at or ask someone else for Mountie Bounty on the same site. Parents and others may also send funds by visiting and clicking the “Parent/Guest Add Mountie Bounty” button.
