Only LISTSERV messages and email routed through two particular services will be affected. This includes emails such as automated, system-delivered messages from eCampus, STAR and the Parent Guest Portal. Those messages will be delivered once the upgrade is complete.
This work will improve spam and virus scanning. It also will help prevent legitimate WVU emails from being blocked by outside email and internet service providers.
Once this maintenance is complete, messages that have been queued up will be delivered. If yours don’t go through in four hours, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
After Aug. 19, messages that are scanned and automatically flagged as potential spam will be quarantined. If you send a message and do not receive confirmation, or the message is not delivered within four hours, it may have been quarantined. Please contact the Service Desk at for assistance releasing those messages.
