Mountaineer HPC system will be retired this fall; ITS suggests moving data this summer

The Mountaineer High Performance Computing System (HPC) will be retired this fall, replaced by Thorny Flat. Although Mountaineer will continue to function after June 1, the warranty on its components will expire, and ITS cannot guarantee that data can be recovered if the system fails.

ITS recommends that all users switch to Spruce Knob as soon as possible to ensure you are using the most reliable system. We suggest you move or frequently copy your data to other locations.
