WVU Research Computing is hosting a free, hands-on HPC (High Performance Computing) Summer Institute at One Waterfront Place in Morgantown, W.Va., June 13-17. Unlike previous sessions taught remotely, this four-day workshop will be half lecture and half lab time, and staff will work directly with participants.
Rather than exploring advanced concepts, this workshop will focus on the basics to help new users start using Information Technology Services’ HPC resources and to help experienced users be more efficient.
Participants are encouraged to bring real, current challenges and issues to the lab sessions. Participants may register for only parts or all of the workshop. Course topics will be the same, but organizers may be able to add guest speakers during lab time to discuss how HPC helps their research and can help yours. Workstations will be available, but participants may bring their own laptops as well.
To register, please complete the form here to help Research Computing gauge attendance. We have 20 spots available each day, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please direct questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
