Information Technology Services will offer expedited scanning during final exam week. Faculty can drop off tests for scanning at both the Evansdale Library and the Mountainlair Service Centers anytime those locations are open. Here’s the timetable for when results will be available:
Information Technology Services is changing the hours it offers walk-up support in the Mountainlair during the holidays, but the ITS Connect team will be available throughout final exams week, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
ITS Connect operates in the Mountainlair next to the Post Office. The location will be closed from Saturday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 29 for Thanksgiving break, and from Saturday, Dec. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 10 for winter break.
The holiday shopping season is already under way, and so are thieves who want to steal your personal and financial information. Information Technology Services reminds all students and employees that you should NEVER use your WVU email account or your WVU credentials for personal online shopping.
Always shop on secure sites and make sure that the address in your browser begins with https://. The “s” signals “secure.” Never provide your credit card information to anyone via email.
STAR is back in service, and we apologize for this inconvenience this caused today. Replacing both power supplies to the server resolved the problem. We appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve the issues.

The WVU Portal, a new mobile-friendly application at portal.wvu.edu, will soon give current WVU students and newly admitted students a single front door to a variety of critical services and applications, from accessing eCampus, Gmail and STAR to checking the status of the PRT. The app goes live Monday, Dec. 7.
Portal.wvu.edu is replacing mix.wvu.edu at the end of the fall 2015 semester, and users will automatically be redirected to the new site through the end of the spring 2016 semester. MIX email will NOT be going away; it will remain accessible through portal.wvu.edu.
Information Technology Services anticipates restoring access to STAR by 3 p.m. Monday. We are currently working to move it to a new server and will update when the work is complete. MIX is also continuing to experience problems. We apologize for this inconvenience.

The Service Desk at Information Technology Services will have different hours during the upcoming holiday season and will be closed on University holidays.
When residence halls are closed, the Service Desk will generally operate Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Normal hours resume when the residence halls reopen.
Spring 2016 course shells are available in eCampus as of Monday,Nov. 16, with several changes that benefit faculty. Default templates will NOT be automatically applied to course shells, and faculty will no longer need to submit content through the eCampus Request System (eRS).

Many public-facing websites and pages hosted in the Slate content management system will be intermittently unavailable 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 during important maintenance. Several databases must be moved from an old system that is being retired.

The electronic Student Evaluation of Instruction (eSEI), eCampus Request System and several other services will be unavailable 8-10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 for important maintenance.
This security patching will help protect the contents of University databases and applications. The work is being conducted this weekend to prevent any inconvenience with eSEIs during the peak demand period ahead.
