Office 2016 for Mac now available through Office 365 web application

Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac is now available for students, faculty and staff to install on personally owned devices through the Office 365 web application. All employees and students have five free license downloads for personal use, and this download will count as one of those.

The entire suite of Office products is included – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and Outlook. Users must have OSX 10.10 Yosemite to download Office 2016. Older operating systems must use Office 2011.

The enterprise version of this software for deployment in colleges and departments will be available in early August. Information Technology Services recommends that this version be used for any on-campus, WVU-owned computer. Contact your college IT support staff to make those arrangements.
