SkyDrive Pro Available to Office 365 Users Starting Feb. 3

SkyDrive Pro, a cloud-based document library, will give Office 365 users a new way to store, access and share work-related files starting Feb. 3, 2014.

Office 365 offers 25 GB of storage for documents in SkyDrive Pro, in addition to the current 25 GB of mail storage. All content is private until the user decides otherwise.

Documents in SkyDrive Pro can be opened from multiple computers, and from tablets and other supported devices using the SkyDrive Pro sync app.

SkyDrive Pro is a business-oriented service created for work products only. It differs from the free, consumer version of SkyDrive, which is intended for personal use.

SkyDrive Pro users can share entire folders or individual documents with both internal and external users, or send links inviting people to view the documents
anonymously. It also supports the use of Office Web Apps, which are free versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

SkyDrive Pro works with Windows and Mac computers, and Apple iOS devices.

SkyDrive Pro will be added to Office 365 on Monday, Feb. 3. Click here for help getting started:

SkyDrive Pro will be rolled out to the Health Sciences Center at a later date. Please monitor communications from HSC Information Technology Services for that announcement.
