WVU students now have free access to all MATLAB add-ons and toolboxes installed on WVU campus computers. No more compatibility problems when working from home! Click here to access and install. WVU's MATLAB now includes most programs and toolboxes. Click here to see the full list.

Available to all Faculty and Staff under a college site license at:

  • Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Design
  • Potomac State
  • Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources
  • WVU Tech

Contact your local IT unit for access.

Faculty and staff in other colleges and departments can access MATLAB by completing the SLIC Online Software Order Form.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

MATLAB Academy

Students and new users can learn MATLAB interactively with courses through MATLAB Academy. MATLAB Onramp, a 2-hour introduction to the software, is complimentary for licensed users. Other offerings are fee-based. The courses include demonstrations, quizzes, and hands-on MATLAB practice sessions that allow students to apply the skills immediately. Course content is provided in short well-defined modules, enabling students to jump to the topics of most interest.

Video Tutorials for New Users

Five Interactive MATLAB and Simulink based tutorials are available to help undergraduate students and other new users get started. These tutorials are available to all WVU students, faculty, staff and researchers at no charge. Users will be asked to sign in to their MathWorks account for access. See installation instructions above for assistance in creating your MathWorks account.
