Research Computing

Research Computing (RC) is dedicated to supporting, enabling and advancing computational research at WVU.

We provide access to centrally managed computational systems, storage systems, high-speed networking and virtual systems. We also strive to provide researchers with the education and training they need to use these resources.

Our goals are to:

  • Provide cost-effective, centrally managed high-performance computing, storage and virtualization services.
  • Provide access to a science DMZ (demilitarized zone) for high speed data transfers. The University’s DMZ is called Research Exchange (REX).
  • Assist the research community in the areas of computational science.
